These are challenging times in health care, as we try to keep ourselves and our patients safe while still providing care in any way we can. Here at the Neurosciences Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, we understand that these are unprecedented circumstances and that our members may be struggling with how to cope.
Our goal is to create a discussion in order to share support, resources, and tips amongst each other to help us all adapt to the rapidly changing landscape of neurological physiotherapy practice. We understand that our members work in many different environments, some may have closed private clinics and are offering services through telerehab, some may be working on the frontlines in hospitals, and some may even have shut down services and are looking into employment insurance or other measures.
We are posting some questions that many of you may have, and we encourage others to post their own questions in the comments as well. We do not have all the right answers right now, but we are hoping we can all work together to help each other with solutions.
As we physically distance ourselves, let’s continue to be there for each other in other ways. Reach out to one another, attend webinars or online courses, and contribute to discussions such as this to maintain a sense of community. We’re looking forward to hearing from you!
Below we have posted groups of questions related to different practice challenges we may be facing. Click on the topic to view the questions, and comment on the post to add your own questions, advice, or experience.
